Writing Assesment Review.

Hello readers today we have to do more bolgging and I am good at orgasnisation and my next steps. 

Sentence: Make sure I choose the right sentence to show the reader what I want them to know or how I want them to feel.

Structures: Try to match all parts of of my writing to the text type.

Idears: Make my ideas original, so the reader can connect with them.

Add extra information, detail or facts that explain my thinking (elaboration)

vocab: Use words and phrases that grab the reader’s attention and interest.

Punctuation: Use commas to show clauses (different parts of a sentence).

Add punctuation to create mood and show greater detail to hook my readers in.

battle bots

 Hello readers today in DTE we have been building battle bots. We have been doing this over 8 weeks and I have fineshed our battle bots. What I learnd is how to build a robot and how to controll it. The people that was in my group Sereybuth Jesse and wraith my next steps is to mabye let the group help me with the robot more.  Sereybuth made the DLO Jesse made the logo for the battle bot. sat on his butt all period. I made the robot Jesse drove the robot and wraith.

The kid in the lodge

Hello reader today I wrote this becuase we had to in class here it is hope you like it.

A dark blue sky the trees are black as the night with little patchs of snow like little pills of suger. Not much of the sky all you can see is black trees standing still as if they were waiting for someone to come. The snow on the ground with stones laying there as if they were going to sleep,  little bushes coming up as if they woke up from a deep nap. As one little kid waits in his lodge for Christmas to come the next day.

The little kid is very short and he has white hair and pale skin. He is wearing a stirped red and green jersey and he has blue eyes with a couple of freakles onj his face and he has sock the match with his jersey. He is waiting at the window looking for someone to fly past. He has a dreamy look on his face as if he saw Santa right in front of him as there’s a fire right behind him keeping him warm. 

His lodge got got crashed by one of the black trees falling the boy was stuck waiting for help waiting an hour has went past as he waited for someone to help him there was no one around then we all hope was lost he saw something it was a rabbit and then the rabbit ran away in fear.

He slowly froze to death becuase no one came for him,  it was painfull and he did not know what to do he got cut up really bad and that help  with the death as he was alone with branch in his back all he could see was santa pulling the finger and said don’t believe everything people tell you and the kid died.

 Hello readers, today in science we have been learning about filtering dirty water to clean water we will be doing a experiment about filtering water. filtering is separating small particles from the water to make it drinkable not all things can be dissolved when it is the same size it can't be dissolved. todays experiment we are going to make a mixture then separate them. the chemicals are called copper sulfate is light blue a liquids and transparent and sodium carbonate is colorless a liquid and translucent. What I think is going to happen is when you try and separate them they are not going to.

Method: 

1. Pour approximately 50mL of copper sulfate solution into a beaker.

2. Add the same volume of sodium carbonate solution. A reaction will happen, you should see a cloudy blue precipitate form. Called copper carbonate. 

3. Watch demo then fold filter paper to fit inside the funnel

4. Place the funnel with the filter paper inside of it, into the mouth of a conical flask. 

5. Stir the mixture in the beaker, then carefully pour it into the funnel. 

6. Observe what happened.

      

Matariki

Hello readers today in English we have been doing a do now and the do now is about should Matariki should be a holiday.

Matariki should be an holiday the reason why is because when it is a New Year we celebrate it and since we are making Maori part of New Zealand we should celebrate the New Year with them and have a day of school. That is why we should celebrate matariki and have a day of school.

Elastic. something that you can stretch

We had a marshmallow cannon how we made it was with a balloon and a cup we cut the cup then we cut the balloons neck off and put it around the cup and made a cannon we put the marshmallow in the cannon and shot it outside first it was elastic then it turn into sound and kinetic energy then it turn into gravitational and it hit the ground.   

Debating

Hello readers what we have been doing over the past 2 weeks is debating we have been fighting on about couple of thing I can't rember most of the things but there was someone that knew about debating and it was lucky to see someone that knew a lot about debating and learn from her.  What I think that has been fun is agureing about diffrent things and working with other poeple and what I though was challenging was doing all the work be my self. I don't know if I want to join the school team next year.

 Hello readers today in wananga I will be doing a recount about what we have been doing in B.E The poeple in my group are Travis, Jed, Aaron, Denis and Lucas. The business Advisor is Mr. Taylor and also our sponsor. Our product is clash of cards and also our company name. How we got this is be looking up different types of collectable cards and we got an idea so we went with it. we will be selling our product hopefully on our site or at school on market day which is on the 1 Dec. We are having a market day to teach the students about how to make a business and to also get money for EOTC week. I have been enjoying what I have been doing and my favorite part was making the cards what has been challenging to me was to find out what I was doing and how I could help the group because I was not here for a week and I got put into a group. I am look forward to selling my cards and make a profit.

the one on the left is a parallel circuit it get more power because there are two different paths. the one on the right is a series it does not have as much power because they are connect

knock the cone

 Hello reader today  I made up with my friends Kayden. The game is called knock the cone here are the instructions on how to play it. Four people are trying to knock the cone down.  Two people in each team and trying to knock the opposite team's cone. If they get hit, they go off. If all of them get hit the team that hit them all gets a free shot, if they miss the cone the other team goes back on. Both teams have five minutes to try and knock the cone down. If a team has a player off and they  catch the ball they get to bring back the other player.

Book review

 Hello readers today in hur1 we have been reading a book called The Cay. The protagonist it Timothy and Philip. The first book published in 1996 in the united states. Then it got published by puffin in 1973. The author for this book is Theodore Taylor. my opinion about this book is I liked it, I liked how they made a book about two poeple in the 1942 and stuck and relay on each other. I recommend this book to older poeple. I rate it a 4/5, they was in the world war 2 and the Nazis was attacking there home and trying to tack there oil.    

Week reflection.

Hello readers today in wananga we have been doing a week reflection, My week have been very good and I have shown my CARR values in most of my class I showed achievement by completing the science experiment, commitment by going in a finished my work, respect by helping other when they needed it and resilience by doing the work when I did not want to. In my art Kete I have been working on a roman base and we have nearly finished it, I have been making the towers and the fences that go around the base. I think that I did very good when there was a reliver teacher this week I completed all my task that I was meant to do and a got some CARR stamps to. A goal that I want to do before the end of this term is to build a good robot in DTE that is one of my class that I have. Thank you for reading this blog post blog you later!!

Dissecting a cow eye

Hello bloggers today in physic I will tell you guys what I did. In biology class our teacher has been teaching us about the eye and the part of the eye. There are 7 main parts of the eye. The cornea is the protective outer layer of the eye. The pupil is where the light enters the eye. The iris control how much light enter the eye. The lens focuses light on to the retina. The retina converts light to electrical impulses. The optic nerve carries the electric impulses to the brain. The humorous is the liquid mush in the middle which gives the eye its shape. After we have learned about the eye. We choses our groups and the teacher gives us a cows eye. It was really stinky and gross. We start off by cutting of the fat around the eye and then we cut a hole into the cornea.

 Hello readers today I am writing a 200 word challenge about the snow because it is snowing outside.

Snow is a wonderful thing it brings joy to most of the world some countries it snow all the time but in New Zealand it hardly never snows as I wait in class rendering my book it start to snow. I looked outside the window to see half the school running on the field. The class wait for miss to say you guys can go outside to play if you want. I went outside to see the snow it was cold and wet. I saw two of my friends and I ask them what do they think of the snow. They were coved in snow  and playing in it so I thought that they was having a good time. The teacher told us it was time to go back inside so I did we sat down and we started to read our book again. The whole class was distracted so the teacher told us to go on our Chromebook and write 200 word about the snow. Here is a poem I found about the snow.

The way the crow shook down on me to dust of the snow on a hemlock tree has given my heart a change mood and some part of a day I had rued.       

Schooner

 Hello readers today in reading we have been learning about The Cay and The Cay is about poeple stranded in a island and one of the boat in The Cay is called a schooner. The boat is brown and very long it has four white sails not all of then a the same and white ring around the top. If I was sailing on this boat I would fell the boat rocking agents the ocean and I would smell the sea air and see dolphins and whales and maybe fish as we pull them in.

Hello readers today in wananga we have been writing the 100 word challenge and this is my story about hockey players.

There was two team one was tiger the other lion I was in the lion  team I was about to score when the someone name  harry from the tigers hit me with his hockey stick he got me right in the nose it was bleeding, I got sent of I went to the bench  I ask the coach if I can go back on and he said in the next half. so the game went  on and I went back on it was going really good when I saw harry and I did nothing then the scores was even it was my time to shine then I was so close to score when I fell the other team got the ball and they score I look at my shoes and then I realize my shoes laces was untired and I feel over. In the end I had a great day with my friends.

 Hello readers today in wananga we have been doing a 100 word challenge and this is when we write 100 words about a photo or a quote the quote that I will be telling the story about is it was less than a second maybe half but it change every thing.

I was in the car waiting for my dad wondering when he is going to take me to my softball game when he came out of the house with a beer in his hand I ask him if he is going to drive and he said yes you are safe everything will be fine I said ok we went to my softball game and we had a good game and we won we went inside to celebrate and we had pizza but then I noticed the dad was more drunk then he was before and we went home dad was driving I was in the passenger seat then there was a deer I turn the wheel and we just mist the deer I sat in the seat wondering what would of happened if I did not turned the wheel

Book review

 Hello readers today in Wananga we have been reading books. The book that I was reading was called slide the corner. I will be doing a book review because we have to.

The title of this book is called Slide The Corner, The author that wrote this book her name is Fleur Beale she is from Inglewood she wrote the book in the year 1993. I did not choose this book for this year Miss Birtch choose the book. I think that the book Slide The Corner was a good book but I would not want to read it again. My favorite part in the book was when he stood up to the man that tried to steal the car. There was the main character Greg and there was the poeple that helped him with his dream their names was Brad and Holly his parents dad and mum did not like his career path he was choosing so they tried to make him smarter and repeat year 11. I would recommend this book to young poeple that want to be race car driver or has the same dreams as Greg. This is my book review hope you like it and have a good day BLOG YOU LATER!!!!.

English is not the most important subject in school because if you only knw English than it is only going to help you write a book or read but if you learn math than you can become a scientist and that can help the world. So that is why that English is the not the most important subject in school

Hello readers today I will be telling you why everyone should not be able to vote in the federal election.

Why not all people in New Zealand should not be able to vote in New Zealand. Because what if someone that is from a different county comes to ours then votes and two year later they leave and then the would of voted to make what they think is good and then the people will get mad. If everyone in New Zealand voted it would not make New Zealanders happy because people from other country are allowed to vote what they want it to be. That is why I think that not all people should vote

Hello today we have been learning about Mouther Teresa and what she did. 

26 of august she was born her birth name was Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu on September 1928 at age 18 she join the sister of loreto. She was on a train and she got a call from a call from GOD to quit her job and help poeple. She was a nice person and loved to help people when they needed it. She believes things that sounds like God on the phone and she is very kind to poeple an gives poeple things that they need. She will be remembered as someone that loves all and just want to help poeple. To give and make the world a better place. 

Why it is important to have a name

 Hello readers, I will be telling you why your name is important to your identity.

It is very important to have a name because how will you parents call if you don't have a name they will go to the park and go come here boy time to go home and if every boy is called that then they won't know you are talking to them. If you are at school and the teachers are calling the roll they will have to say boy, girl and they want know who they are talking about. If you don't have a name how is the police going to identify who you are. That is my three reasons why it is important to have a name.

Fitting Through Paper

 hello readers today in Wananga we are playing a game called fitting through paper how to game works is to try and fit through he paper  me and my team came up with an idea to cut around the paper so it would be bigger and then tie it up at the end and then everybody could fit in there. If the paper was bigger it would be easy to make if it was smaller it would not be as easy. If the scissors would not cut as well I would  use my hands. If the cuts were closer it would be harder to cut because the paper would rip. If the paper was further than it would be to small.

Hello readers, this is my Essay about Sir Edmund Hillary hope you like it.

Why Sir Edmund Hillary is the best influencer in New Zealand. He inspired a lot of people to pressurize their dream because Sir Edmund Hillary did what he wanted.

At a school field trip he first tested the cold bitter air in the mountains and wanted to climb. So he got up and followed through with his dream and then he was able to climb Mount Everest.

He was the first person to climb Mount Everest with his partner Shera Herzing they fought over 

How was the first person to climb Mount Everest so Hillary won and now he is the one they call Sir Edmund Hillary the first person to climb Mount Everest.

He was also the first person to cross the South Pole in a motor vehicle. 

He helped his father and brother at a bee farm and he worked there for the rest of his life and they sold wonderful honey.

He was born in Auckland and went to University Auckland school and after that he took a train so he could go to Auckland grammar school and that took him an hour to get to everyday when he was old he died in the Auckland hospital by a heart attack. 

In conclusion Sir Edmund Hillary is the best influencer in New Zealand

The principal is not the most important person in the school, because the students are, the reason why is if there were no students in the school how would there be a school so there would not be a reason the principal is there. The teachers are always saying that the students are the most important people in the school because they need the education and they have a longer life to live so they can discover more thangs than the principal would. so that is why I think that the students are more important then the principal.

Dilution is when it is weaker than it is meant to be and the experiment is a serials Dilution. The aim is to carry out a serial dilution with potassium permanganate   hypothesis I think that it is going to turn into a light purple that is transparent. When you put the potassium permanganate in the big tube at was dark purple put when you put more into the test tubes it turned more into clear.

Slide the Corner

Hello readers, Today in Wānanga we have been reading more of the book Slide the Corner. Today I will be writing a reflection about the book and what we have read so far. I think that the book Slide the Corner is very interesting, I don't like how the main character Greg has parents that don't love him as much as his sibling. I think that the Chatterton's was very kind to let Greg eat at there house. But I don't think I would read it if I was at home because it does not really interest me as I don't like cars as much as Greg and I don't like how his parents don't like him. So I would not reads it if I had a choice. I do think it is a good book if you like cars and have a dream of being rally car driver.

 Hello reader today in health we are doing some games and we was meant to play a game out side but it was raining so we could not play the IP skills the I used was non verbal communication the Helisons modal level that I used was 3 the warm fuzzier that I used was nice job I think that I did really good and I was working with Dani and he won most of them. Yes I would do this again but I would want to do all the games

The Chatterton's change his life by making his dream come true to be a race car driver, He becomes more happy because they let him drive the car. The Chatterton's give him food and his parent does not.

His parents get mad when Greg tires to talk to him about the race car. Because they want Greg to be some thing more and I can't relate to this because I am not old enough and I can't drive.

His parents does not like him being a dirty mechanic so the put him down and that makes him fell sad it is important to pries someone so they think they can do well.

William stick up for his little brother because he knows that he is not that smart, He loves his sibling and is very nice.

Greg's mum changers her mind because she relies that Greg enjoys what he is doing.

He gets to drive the car and his dad lets him fix the car that he broke

The reason why rugby defines NZ the best because of some of the players that win the word cup in rugby are from NZ. The reason why it defines new Zealand because of how much people watch it and most of your adds is about rugby and KFC. When you watch TV you are most likely to see some sort of add about rugby. That is why I think that rugby defines NZ the best

 Hello readers, today in class we have been doing the 100 word challenge. I am going to write about a picture. A woman in the forest going to a cabin. 

There was a woman at a party she was drinking she went into the car and went for a drive when she crashed. She woke up from the crash and she saw some one in the forest so she followed it. It went into a cabin then she look behind the car was gone it was just forest so she walk back to find her car but when she did. But all she saw was the cabin so she walk into the cabin to see a head on the wall it was hers she felt her neck there was no head she screamed and woke up in the hospital. THE END!

Why students should have more mufti days 

I agree that students should have more mufti days in school Because it help them express them self in there cloth so they can make more friends. When you have more friends you can get help from them when you need it.  Because People have more fun in school when they get to wear there own cloths so they have more of a head space so they can learn better. When you have a mufti day it gives you time to wash your cloths so they are not so dirty for the rest on the week. That is why I think that we should have more mufti days.

why cats are better than dogs

Hello readers. Today in writing we are doing a Do now. a do now is when the teacher gives you something to do and you have to do it now. The do now that the teacher has set is about why cats are better than dogs if. I think that cat are better than dogs because they are small so you don't have to worry about them knocking over tables and they like to sleep in your lap and that is cute. You don't have to worry about them that much because they just like to do there own thing. They don't eat that much so they so you don't need to feed them as much as a dog and they also like to hunt and catch your mice and then you want have mice and rats in your kitchen. That is why I think that cats are better then dogs.

If I did this again I would help my team more. I think that I got a level three on Hellison's model because I listen to my team and used there ideas.
