In the shadow of Taranaki.

Hello readers. Today in reading we have been looking at videos about Parihaka. Parihaka is a village in the mountains. We have to answer some questions.

We saw children in buses traveling up to the mountains of taranaki look at the jail that the British throw the Maori in. The children was sad that there asters got throw in jail. The kids had white feathers in there heir to risible peace not war. It is important to the kids to know what happen to there asters so they don't get treated the way the Parihaka got treated.

The British was trying to take over the land they first tried to give then money but the parihaka thought no a mount of money could worth as much as land. 1840 to the 1870 the government confiscate there land it coursed a disagreement between the Maori and the government.

What the Europeans expect when they were attacking the parihaka was war they came with there guns and there best solders to attack the parihaka. Instead all they got was children skipping and being greeted and given bread to eat they standard there with there white feathers.
